The start of a new racing season always brings a mix of excitement, nerves, and ambition. Last weekend marked the first trackday of the year, doubling as the much-anticipated “winter test” for the CBR Trophy 2025. It was time to shake off the offseason rust, test new setups, and set the tone for what’s to come.
For me, Louis, racing under BKKRYD Racing colors, the 2024 season ended on a high note—multiple podium finishes and securing third place in the championship. But that was last year. This year, backed by Move Ahead Media, the mission is clear: improve my ranking, refine my consistency, and possibly step up to Group A, where the competition is at an entirely different level.
Trackdays: Where Champions Are Made
Trackdays aren’t just about twisting the throttle and going fast. They’re crucial for understanding the bike, testing adjustments, and developing a competitive rhythm. The Honda CBR600RR remains the perfect machine for the CBR Trophy 2025—light, agile, and an absolute weapon on the corners.
During the winter test, the focus was on fine-tuning suspension settings and testing different tire compounds to find the best balance between grip and longevity. The track conditions were challenging—cooler temperatures meant different tire behavior, making feedback from every lap invaluable.
Fine-Tuning for the 2025 Season
One of the biggest takeaways from the winter test was the need for consistency. The CBR600RR is a beast, but to compete for the title this year, I need to maintain a steady lap pace without over-pushing in critical sections. My race craft has improved over the past season, but in Group A, the margin for error is razor-thin.
Another key element is mental preparation. Racing is as much about mindset as it is about skill. A clear goal for this season is to refine my race strategy—knowing when to push, when to defend, and when to take calculated risks.
The Road Ahead: CBR Trophy 2025 Begins
With winter testing in the books, the next phase is preparing for the opening round of the CBR Trophy 2025. Every trackday from now until race day is a step toward reaching that podium again—but this time, aiming even higher.
The competition will be fierce, the pace relentless, but that’s exactly why we do this. The thrill of racing, the camaraderie of the paddock, and the constant pursuit of speed make this sport addictive. One thing is certain: with the Honda CBR600RR dialed in, Move Ahead Media in my corner, and an unwavering drive to improve, 2025 is set to be a season to remember.
